Pilates for whiplash

Whiplash is a multifaceted and often controversial condition resulting from the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the head and neck.  It is most commonly, though not exclusively, experienced following motor vehicle trauma.

Appropriate management in the first two weeks following injury is vital and should include adequate pharmaceutical analgesia, manual and exercise-based therapies, and early resumption of normal activities. Any one of these interventions without appropriate coordination with the other invariably leads to poor incomes in the medium and long-term.

Kingsley Studio aims to optimize the manual, medical and exercise-based rehabilitation of patients following whiplash injury.  Physiotherapists work closely with your referring doctor as well as the doctors at Kingsley Medical to optimise this “golden window” in early whiplash management.

One-on-one and small class programs are tailored to optimize postural strengthening and facilitate suitable functional and ergonomic status.

Patients are assessed by our musculoskeletal physiotherapists to determine the most suitable rehabilitation program prior to commencement.
